Employers, recruiting agencies, educational institutions and organisations frequently ask NEBOSH to confirm that an individual holds a NEBOSH qualification. It is critical to NEBOSH that organisations verify the validity of NEBOSH qualifications in order to maintain workplace safety. All the reports of forged NEBOSH Certificates and Parchments are treated very seriously by NEBOSH and strongly advise all students to keep these papers safe in order to avoid fraudulent activity.
Individual subject to the request is not required to provide authorization. They must, however, be aware that checks are being made. Information provided by NEBOSH will be limited to determining whether or not the person has the claimed qualification. NEBOSH will not reveal the grades received or validate the results of the unit examination.
NEBOSH provides three methods for confirming a student's achievement. They are as follows,
From October 1st of 2019, a QR code will be shown in the bottom right-hand corner of all Certificates and Parchments issued as a result of examinations conducted following the above-mentioned date. To verify the validity of the certificate, scan this code with a smartphone.
NEBOSH’s free self-service certificate verification portal can be used to verify all Certificates and Parchments issued after December 31st of 1990. If the certificate was issued prior to the year of 1991 or diploma certificate was issued prior to the year of 2020, then one would need to submit the request to NEBOSH directly.
If you have a copy of the qualification parchment, the NEBOSH will check whether it is genuine within 5 working days.NEBOSH can nevertheless check whether or not the individual has one of NEBOSH qualifications even if one doesn’t have a copy of qualification paper. However, in order to comply with the Data Protection Act, NEBOSH may only process such requests if they are submitted in writing via the qualification verification request form. In response to a telephone inquiry, disclosure of information will not be provided.

Requests for confirmation of NEBOSH qualifications for emigration/visa purposes or to external educational institutions that require completion of external paperwork will be processed within 20 working days after receipt of the requisite documents. If requested, NEBOSH will reveal marks obtained or verify unit examination results. The learners' permission will be required. This service is subject to a fee, which can be found on NEBOSH Learner Fees List.
